After that (when the first download and installation. ![]() I pointed the SDK path to my empty sdk folder and then it gave a list of files it was going to (download and) install. But the sdkmanager returned an error that said that I don't have JAVA_HOME in my PATH. Even though the Android Studio software states it cant continue without a SDk installation, I was able to click the errors away and like stated above start the SDk manager. Linux users will need to extract the JDK folder they downloaded into their home directory, and perform the following steps to install the JDK. I downloaded the SDK tools and went to ~/android_sdk/tools/bin. It says there that I can also use the included sdkmanager tool to download other Android SDK Packages. I went to and downloaded the Android Studio command line tools. Android SDK performs all the tasks needed to develop apps for all versions of Android. ![]()
